When we talk about real estate, we often hear the cliché "location, location, location." But for those of us at Boss Summit®️, location isn’t just about a set of coordinates on a map or a proximity to the highway. It’s about the spirit of the soil. It’s about the stories that have already been written on these sidewalks and the legacies that are currently waiting for the right foundation to rise again.

Our latest initiative, the Boss Up & Build Back the Block Project, is anchored at E. 115th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44108. This isn't just an address; it is a stake in the ground for the future of entrepreneurs in our city. We are building in the heart of a neighborhood that has already proven, time and again, that it produces greatness. If you have ever doubted the potential of our urban corridors, you need only look three blocks away.

A Neighborhood of Proven Legacy

Just three blocks from our project site sits Steve Harvey Way: formerly E. 112th Street. On January 16, 2015, the City of Cleveland officially renamed this street to honor one of its most famous sons. Steve Harvey, a world-renowned television host, entertainer, and philanthropist, grew up on those very blocks.

Why does this matter to a nonprofit focused on building generational wealth? Because Steve Harvey’s journey from E. 112th Street to global prominence is a living testament to the undeniable truth we hold dear: this community is a factory for excellence.

When a child can walk out of a house on E. 112th Street and go on to influence the world, it proves that the "problem" in our neighborhoods was never a lack of talent. It was always a lack of infrastructure, opportunity, and sustained investment. Steve Harvey’s success isn't an anomaly; it’s a blueprint. By building the Boss Up & Build Back the Block Project just 1,500 feet from where his story began, we are choosing to build on a foundation of proven legacy.

More Than a Development: A Continuation of Excellence

The Boss Up & Build Back the Block Project is not simply a construction initiative: it is a continuation of the cultural and economic history of Cleveland’s 44108 zip code. We are not "saving" a neighborhood; we are investing in a community that has already done the hard work of nurturing legends.

We recently received five parcels of real property from the Cleveland Land Bank, and we are transforming these spaces into a permanent Community Hub. This physical space will serve as the heartbeat of our operations, providing:

Year-Round Business Education: Empowering women with the technical skills to scale.

Workforce Development: Creating pathways for leadership and high-level economic participation.

Community Engagement: A safe, permanent space for peer-to-peer learning and networking.

We believe that by revitalizing this corridor, we are directly honoring and amplifying the legacy established by those who came before us. This is how we [unlock funding for women-led businesses: by creating the physical and social infrastructure that makes success inevitable.

Why This is a Strategic Bet on Cleveland’s Future

When you donate to the Boss Up & Build Back the Block Project, you aren't just giving to a charity. You are making a strategic investment in the economic engine of Cleveland. Here is why your support carries both financial and cultural significance:

1. The Potential is Documented

We aren't guessing about what these blocks can produce. From world-class entertainers to the 250+ women entrepreneurs Boss Summit®️ has already served, the data is clear: when given the right foundation, the women of Cleveland thrive. Our Community Hub is that foundation.

2. Revitalization Honors Legacy

Investment in the Glenville neighborhood and the E. 115th corridor is a way to bridge the gap between our city's historic past and its prosperous future. By transforming dilapidated structures into thriving hubs, we are telling the next generation of founders that their neighborhood is worth the investment.

3. Community Ownership is Key

Unlike traditional development that often displaces residents, our project is focused on community ownership. We are building this for the women who live, work, and dream in this zip code. We are creating a permanent home for collaboration and mentorship.

We Are in the Final Phase: and We Need You. We have secured the land. We have secured the building. We are currently in the final phase of construction. But to cross the finish line and open our doors, we need the support of partners who recognize the promise of this block.

Our goals for this fundraising round are clear:

Complete the Construction: Ensuring the E. 115th Street Hub is state-of-the-art and fully accessible.

Furnish the Space: Creating a professional environment that inspires high-level business strategy.

Launch the Programs: Scaling our workforce development and entrepreneurship workshops to meet the growing demand.

We aren't just building a house; we are building a powerhouse. Every brick laid on E. 115th Street is a brick laid for the future of Cleveland’s economic equity.
