Boss Summit® Secures $35,000 Start-Up Grant to Support BIPOC Women Entrepreneurship Growth10/22/2023 Updated: Oct 23, 2023 CLEVELAND, OHIO (Aug. 14, 2023) – Boss Summit®, a black and female-owned non-profit organization, recently secured a $35,000 grant from The George Gund Foundation, a Cleveland-based non-profit that funds organizations committed to restorative justice. At its July meeting, the foundation’s Board of Trustees approved several grants, totaling $11.8 million, for organizations with plans to enhance Cleveland’s climate and environmental justice, creative culture and arts, democracy building, public education, thriving families and social justice, and vibrant neighborhoods and inclusive economies.
The $35,000 grant will empower Boss Summit® to accelerate its growth, expand its operations, and support programs that center BIPOC women in community-driven efforts to preserve neighborhoods, increase entrepreneurship opportunities, and provide supportive services for low-income and at-risk individuals. "We are delighted to receive this start-up grant from The George Gund Foundation,” said Boss Summit® founder, Lynn Brishae. "This recognition and funding are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and vision of our team. With this grant, we will be able to ramp up our operations, invest in cutting-edge technology, and drive innovation to new heights."
